Newport Beach is one of our FAVORITE places to visit. The atmosphere is so family friendly, the beaches are clean and beautiful, and there’s some of our favorite restaurants in the area, too! Here’s a few of our favorite, family friendly places to eat in Newport Beach (plus our must-haves at each!)
Seaside Donuts
These are a Newport staple. Not only do they have the best tasting donuts, they’re also open 24 hours a day! Which means, donuts for any meal or late night snack. My favorites are the cronut (seriously, divine!) or the apple bear claw. Everything is reasonably priced (think grocery store pricing, but tastes ten times better).
Sanchos Tacos
After a long day at the beach, Sanchos always hits the spot. They’re known for their tacos and salsas – both of which are insanely good. We also LOVE the nachos (we get them every time – try the steak!) Again, super reasonably priced.
Ruby’s Diner
Classic beach eats right here! I tried the avocado blt burger and it didn’t disappoint! The cajun and garlic fries were amazing and don’t forget about the milkshakes! (My favorite is chocolate peanut butter oreo!)
Mama D’s
The first time we went to Mama D’s the line was over an hour long, but it was WORTH IT. I’m pretty sure I sampled everyone’s plate and I’m not lying when I say it was all amazing! Especially anything with their famous “pink sauce.”
TK Burgers
I LOVE a good burger and TK’s has my favorite one in all of Newport! It’s a tiny little restaurant with limited seating, but nonetheless delicious! Grab fries & a burger (their lettuce wrapped burgers are delicious too!)
Il Gelato
We went here twice this last trip! Once for late night gelato (soooo good! I had the peanut butter + oreo) and once for midday pizza on the beach. Both were surprisingly delicious and both the adults and kids loved it!
The Pipeline
When you need a quick snack on the beach, this is the place! We’ve tried a few other stands, but honestly the Pipeline has the best prices! The frozen banana (with the works) is sooo good and my girls love the snow cones!
The Beachcomber
I would recommend the Beachcomber for an adults date night! It’s right on the beach and everything we tried was incredible! If you’re bringing kids, go for breakfast – I hear their pancakes are great. (Pro tip: make a reservation in advance for dinner!)
Have a great time in Newport Beach! If you have any other food recs, leave them below!
