Oh hey there, blog!
I’ve totally been neglecting this space lately, but hey! Now I’m back! I think. π Ever since Christmas break things have been busy…you know, like actually waking up early and getting back into real routines and stuff. (Oh, how I miss vacation mode!) When I dropped Ellie off at preschool the other day, there was the cutest little girl who did NOT want to go in. “No mom, pleeease. I’m sooo tired. I just want to take a nap.” And I just wanted to yell AMEN! Nap time for all! π
Anyway, let’s rewind to where we left off. AKA, here’s my recap on all our Christmas festivities, err two ish weeks late, for journaling purposes of course. π There’s a bazillion photos so bear with me. π

A quick family photo from our Zurcher Christmas Eve dinner. Also, Ellie and those glasses. I wish you could also see the shoes she’s wearing. They’re about three sizes too big and they have heels!

Baby Becca! Who’s not really a baby anymore, but I still call her that. Love having cousins close.

Ellie’s favorite part of the night was acting out the nativity. She requested to be Mary and took her role very, very seriously. It was the sweetest thing!

Sisters in their matching jammies!

On our way home from the cousins house (after eating a delicious meal and watching Home Alone), the two girls fell sound asleep. Brian and I were in bed by 10! Greatest night of sleep. π Around 8:20, we finally woke up Ellie (I was dying with excitement!) She didn’t believe us that it was actually Christmas morning. “Christmas is in 5 more sleeps!”

Highlight of Christmas morning? The train engine with a remote control! We played trains all morning (and have continued since!)

Addie’s first Christmas! She got a few new little things, but let’s face it, most of her toys were hand me downs from her sis. She didn’t seem to mind at all! π

The aftermath. Best morning ever.

For breakfast we used some Waffle Love dough and made the most delicious waffles. I attempted to make mine look like Santa…?

Even Addie loved watching the trains! Ellie, on the other hand, did not love when she was too close to her new toy. Very protective of that train! π Ha.

Second best part of the morning? SNOW. Ellie was in heaven! There was a TON.

Happiest little one.

Brian braved the snow with Ellie, while Addie and I watched from the window. He pulled her around on the sled again and again and then they shoveled the driveway. Shoveling took forever – I’m not kidding when I say there was a ton of snow! But, it sure was pretty!
A few instax shots from Christmas morning.

And of course, a nutty picture of the four of us! XO
Aw such sweet pictures!
I just got caught up on my blog today too. π Happy New Year!!
