Last minute, as in three and a half days from Ellie’s party, I decided we needed to send a Party in a Box! We knew neither sets of Ellie’s grandparents were going to be in town for Ellie’s party, but I still thought they could get in on the fun. So we mailed them a mini party!
I had two cake mix boxes that I used to mail them in (so easy and cheap!) and I filled them with: an invitation, waffle mix + baking instructions, balloons, food toppers, confetti, and straws. Well, I attempted to send the straws, they were too tall! 🙂 Ellie colored all over the package itself and we popped them in the mail. If I had more time, I might have sent along a mini banner and a few pictures, but I threw this all together one morning before 8am. 🙂 Whew! Such a fun way to pass along the birthday celebrations. And it was the least we could do, considering how many presents all her grandparents sent! 😉

This is the sweetest idea! I love it. What a fun way to include family who live too far to come to the party. I am filing this one away on one of my pinterest boards!

I LOVE THIS! I'm bummed that Chelsea's birthday isn't until May. I'll have to come up with some sort of excuse to do this…
