Unicorn Birthday Party
When Addie turned four, all she wanted was a unicorn birthday party. I had so much fun finding all the perfect unicorn decorations and making a unicorn cake for her! She was so excited and happy all day long She has grown up so much these last few years and it was so fun seeing her so brave and confident with her friends there. Here’s a few of the party details:
The cake was SUPER easy to make. I used a box mix of funfetti and made homemade buttercream (store bought icing doesn’t smooth out nearly as well!) I added food coloring to the leftover icing and used an icing bag to make the unicorn’s flower mane. The unicorn eyes and horn came from Amazon. Addie LOVED it! (And let’s face it, it was a ton cheaper than buying the one at the store she had seen months earlier!)

Almost all the decorations came from Party City! They had such adorable unicorn decorations, I seriously could have purchased them all! Glad I found them online during my late night party planning Google search. 😉 The backdrop was super cute and so were the photo props! I designed similar graphics to make her invite and adopt a unicorn sign.
The balloon arch I made using balloons from Amazon. These are always a labor of love, but add so much to a room! The birthday banner is also from Amazon.

Here’s a quick run down of the activities we did. It was a bunch of 4 year olds, so we kept it super simple! Decorating the gift bags at the beginning was a fun activity for them to do when they came in and was the perfect “house” for their unicorns they adopted!
- Decorate gift bags (when they first came in!)
- Pin the horn on the Unicorn
- Magic, magic, unicorn (like duck, duck, goose)
- Hide the unicorn and play hot & cold game
- Dance party and freeze dance
- Open presents
- Adopt a Unicorn
