Zurcher Family Update!

It’s time again for our complete Zurcher family update! The idea originated from my friend Brooke and I meant to keep it going more than once a year! Apparently our last update was that long ago! (And look at how little Addie girl was!)
Brian is officially workin’ at home! We always swore we’d never do this (ha!) but I’m happy to report it has been working out well! (I mean, it can’t be too bad when you the lawn chair outside doubles as your office a few times a week, right? 🙂 We’re probably a bit of a distraction, but the girls and I love having him around more during the day! Also, B had his golf clubs stolen in the spring, so with months of not playing golf, he finally has some new clubs arriving this week. So, life. is. good. 🙂
I mentioned in our last update that I was struggling with Postpartum Depression/Anxiety and I’m happy to report that after a YEAR, I’m FINALLY starting to feel more like myself again. That’s been a huge blessing. 🙂 The girls keep me busy, tired, and happy – with play dates, errands, preschool, outfit changes 100x a day, and endless games of duck duck goose. 🙂
I’ve been reading THIS book and I’m hoping to have it finished by Christmas! Speaking of Christmas, I’m prepping for the shop’s holiday season – the craziest, time of the year, but also my favorite. I’ve listed some seasonal cards and prints in the shop, but I have a few new items debuting this month and I think you’re going to love them. 🙂
Ellie has adjusted to our move quite well. We are living at mema’s house and it’s her dream come true!! She loves having so many people around (don’t know what we’re going to do when we move out!) and she loves going to preschool. She still changes her outfit 100x a day and it still drives me completely nuts. 😉 Every night we sing the “raindrops and roses” song per her request – and when she sings along it’s the cutest thing everrrrr.
Addie girl is getting so big! She has her top front teeth coming in, she’s starting to say a few more words and signs “more” to tell us when she’s hungry. She LOVES to eat. 🙂 She’s constantly growing out of shoes, loves to “talk” on the phone and barks at every dog we see. She’s still my little “mama’s girl” (so cute) and most of the time, she’s just easy, happy, and content. (Though when she’s not, she WILL let you know! 😉
Remember how we mentioned foreverrr ago that we were building a house? We still are…it’s just taking 100x longer than we expected. Ha! We were warned about that from everyone that’s ever built or known someone that built a house, but we still naively guessed that “a little bit longer” meant 3-4 weeks…not 4-6 months. 🙂 Our original move in date was September 29th (hahahahaha) and so far, the foundation is done. Progress! 🙂 It’s been a blast picking out everything for the house (I could look at flooring and cabinet samples all day!) and when we do have updates, I’ve been sharing them HERE.
Also! We FINALLY got some updated family photos and I’m thrilled at how they turned out! I love this little crew of mine! Plus, look at that gorgeous view! And that light! Huge shout out to Lauren Wrigley Photography – she’s AMAZING and had me teary eyed just looking through all the photos. Addie was especially fussy during the entire session – and yet Lauren got the best pictures! If you need some photos done, she’s your girl!
And thus concludes our Zurcher family update! XOXO

Your pictures turned out gorgeous! And I love this idea for a family update. I've been dealing with postpartum depression but it got exponentially worse after I stopped breastfeeding a month ago, I'm still hoping it will go away soon! At 15 months is it even still postpartum!? Haha I'll get there I'm sure, it's good to see others who have made it to the other side 🙂
