Most mornings, we’re a real live circus. Outfits are switched, and then switched again. Matching shoes are no where to be seen, or they’re too small, too sandy, and clearly unacceptable. The keys are in the bathtub, again. (Baby thief!) And breakfast, don’t even get me started on breakfast!
Fortunately, Brian came to the rescue with these two little yellow chairs the other day. (We love when he goes to the store, he comes back with the best stuff 😉 Instead of looking like our typical zoo, Ellie quickly picked out matching outfits for her and Addie, combed their hair, and hustled out the door for a picnic breakfast. Hallelujah! We’ll do picnics outside every day of the week if it makes our morning chores this easy!
I stood a ways back and watched as the two girls used their tiny utensils to eat their breakfast and chatted and giggled the whole time. We’re usually breaking them up during one of their Addie-stole-the-toy-so-Ellie-tackles-her-wrestling-matches, so watching these two sisters share a sweet breakfast was heart melting. (Insert all the heart eye emojis!)
Love these two sisters. And please let them want to match forever and ever!
Also, I tell my kids every day not to play with their food, so imagine Ellie’s surprise when she saw me writing with Addie’s Organic Sprout pouches. Ha! We love having pouches for on the go (we’ve mentioned them here before!) and these are a great option for your littles as they only include whole fruits, veggies & grains, no concentrates, non-GMO and no preservatives (found at Babies R Us!). Sprout’s pouches come in a variety of flavors which I love because research shows that developing a love of healthy foods early on helps foster healthy eating habits for life. Sometimes we give them to Addie for breakfast and other days when I’m running out the door like a mad woman, I throw them in my diaper bag for a quick on the go snack for Addie. And sometimes I steal a bite or two – ha! I like the blueberry banana oatmeal one 😉
Sprout Organic Foods has excellent Mission & Values. They have made a pledge to include all of the ingredients on the front of their pouches so it matches the ingredients on the back. This way I know exactly what my baby is eating. I recently started putting other pouches to the test and comparing the ingredients on the front to back and I was surprised to find that other pouches had several ingredients on the back that I would not want my daughter eating. For example if you look closely, the back of this pouch lists these ingredients: Organic Apple Puree, Organic Banana Puree, Organic Sunflower Seed Butter, Organic Ground Chia, Organic Lemon Juice Concentrate, Organic Cinnamon, Algal Oil Ascorbic Acid. (I don’t even know what some of that stuff is!) On the back of one of Sprout’s pouches the ingredients are: Pear, Spinach, Prunes. That’s it!
You can put Sprout to the test too. Flip it over and see for yourself! Right now through Oct. 2nd go to your local Babies R Us so you can receive a $10 gift card with a $25 Sprout purchase.
And now that I’ve told the world all about our calm, picture worthy morning, I’m sure I’m completely jinxing it. Tomorrow morning should be funnnnnn. Ha! 😉 xoxo
Such a fun post! Love those sweet girls with all my heart. Such a fun picnic in the backyard! xoxoxoxo
