Also, let us not forget Addison. She may not be going to school…but she definitely got a few new ‘back to school’ clothes, too. 😉 Also, those crayons were in her mouth 80% of the time we were taking these photos. When I say she’s a really good eater, I mean it! Ha! 😉

Back to school, back to school!
Ellie starts school in ONE WEEK!
(Technically, she was supposed to start this week, but we haven’t quite moved yet, oops 😉
I’m torn between not wanting summer to end (!!!) and singing HALLELUJAH at the same time. Getting back on a school schedule and routine will be so good for us. And seriously, what could be better than new school supplies and carefully chosen clothes laid out on the floor the night before. And freshly sharpened pencils. Ahh. Time to watch You’ve Got Mail, again.
In preparation for the new school year, we’ve been doing a little bit of school shopping. Ellie’s quickly growing out of her 3T clothing, so we’ve been shopping the sales for a few new items. I came across the cutest shirt at the store, pink of course, with gold lettering that said “Never Grow Up.” She refused to let it come close to the cart, let alone even look at it, because she did NOT agree with what it said. “But Mooooom, I WANT to grow up!” 😂 😂 😂
^^ No, she doesn’t wear glasses, but she LOVES trying mine on! ^^
Ellie’s super excited for her new class – mostly because her teachers are Miss Doree and Miss Amy…also known as GRAMMA! I mean, how lucky is that? Ellie is thrilled beyond belief and it should make our transition down south to a new school + new friends + new everything much easier with gramma around!
Now that you’ve made it through ridiculous amounts of photos, we’ve got a little something for YOU! We made a few first day of school signs and you can download them for free RIGHT HERE!
These signs make for a perfect back to school photo! First, download free printables. There are several grades included (PreK-12), so unless you want to print them ALL, specify which pages you want in your print dialogue box. (ie. Page 2, or Pages 2, 5, 8) For best results, print on heavy cardstock. I also recommend using the HP Deskjet 3636 printer from Walmart. We have been using this printer for all our everyday printing (back to school signs, coloring pages, shipping labels – you name it!) It’s an all-in-one, space saving printer that comes in three vibrant colors. I can print straight from my smart phone or computer and it prints quietly – which comes in handy because I’m ALWAYS printing things while Addie is sleeping 😉 Snap a few photos of your little ones before you send them off to school! (And tag us on instagram – @alexazurcher – we’d love to see you & your signs!)
Here’s to a new school year! Wish us luck as we get back to waking up early….we have definitely taken advantage of this sleeping in thing. 😉 xo
P.S. Ellie’s Lemon Drop Dress is from Joanie & Burt and Addie’s Blue Gingham Romper is from Lunaby Baby
