Addie girl turned ONE last week!
We had family in town and invited everyone to the park for a little picnic party (i . Since we don’t have a yard, our grill is in storage, and kept out minimal party decor, we opted to have a party at the splash pad! We gathered a few baskets and plates from around our apartment and stole the rest from my grandma’s house. 🙂
We had the best time hanging out with everyone at the park! Addie was a little shy (she’s always shy around lots of people!) but LOVED hanging out in her highchair eating dinner. The kids got a few minutes playing in the splash pad before it CLOSED for the night. (It was only 7pm!) HA! Real good planning there, right?
Our menu included pulled pork sandwiches on buns, watermelon, veggie platter, pasta salad, and chips. We had some homemade (from a box 🙂 cupcakes for all the guests and I ordered a free smash cake from Macey’s for Addie girl. I was so grateful for my mom who was in town – she helped me with all the party prep, so the day of was not stressful at all!
All the little girls helped Addie open her presents – and it was the most hilarious thing ever. Wrapping paper and toys were flying EVERYWHERE. We were all dying laughing.
Addie loved her cake – at the beginning. She took very thoughtful and slow bites of frosting – then used her fork to dig in! When she was done though, she was DONE. We managed to get most of the icing off of her fairy quickly with wet wipes – and she smelled like buttercream the rest of the night. MMMM!
It was such a fun, simple, happy evening celebrating our Addie girl! I still can’t believe how fast the last year went. So grateful to have this sweet little one in our family – she brings heaven into our home. We love you Miss Addison Olivia! XO
