Seven days into June and I still can’t wrap my mind around it. It’s SUMMER! The girls and I have been filling our days with all things sunshine – we frequently walk to the park, feed the ducks, or hit up the splash pad. Crossing our fingers that this week our apartment pool will open – if you need us, that’s where we will be. 😉 Feel free to come join us!
I feel like we’re in limbo this summer. As we’re in between houses and cities and moves, it doesn’t feel very settled. Everything is temporary for now, which is kind of weird – but also feels like we’re on a long, extended vacation! Ha! We’ve been trying to explore Provo like we’re tourists, it’s actually quite fun. Ellie’s favorite place by far has been the Mighty Baker – a bakery seven minutes away from our house. Yes, we’ve timed it – we scooter over there far too often. 😉
I made the mistake of telling Ellie last night that today was the first day of art camp with her best friend. Oh boy, she couldn’t stop moving, she was thrilled! I’m pretty sure I fell asleep before she did. Ah! Maybe she’ll sleep in? Knock on wood. Three cheers for summer, popsicles, bakeries nearby, and long naps for all. 😉
