We ventured around the gardens for a bit, stalked a goose for a picture, smelled every flower, swatted away a few bees, and when Ellie and Addie were getting hungry, we all sat down for a little lunch. Easter just about did us in with all that sugar, so we’ve hidden the rest of the Easter candy on the top shelf of the pantry so a certain three year old can’t find get into it. 😉 Ellie helped pick out everything we brought to our picnic – a turkey/roastbeef sandwich with veggies, cut up apple slices, a few veggie straws, and our favorite, Capri Sun Organic juice drink. (With no added sugar, artificial coloring, and contains one serving of fruit in each pouch – Each pouch provides 1/2 cup fruit juice which is one serving of fruit according to the U.S. Dietary Guidelines, they’re a must have for every picnic!)
We finished our garden adventure rolling the stroller through the mud (oops!), Addie snuggled up in the stroller ready for a nap, and Ellie telling me how she wishes she was a bee so she “could fly in flowers too.” Ha! The minute we loaded up the stroller in the trunk, and the girls in their car seats, it started to rain again. Nailed that outing! 😉
I bet she had so much fun! Those are the days where the most fun memories are made.
I love Ellies imagination! She really is one busy bee! xoxoxoxo
This looks so fun! I love picnics.
