I always wonder what time of the day people blog. I prefer to type out my posts late at night or early in the morning but today, it’s mid afternoon. Simply because my children are the CRAZIEST SLEEPERS. Last night, Ellie’s dream must have been wild, because all night long we heard conversations like “He’s a doctor, he’s a doctor!” or screams. Yes, screams! All while sound asleep. Addie wasn’t much better, babbling and making noises while she was asleep, too. Yeah, Brian and I didn’t get much shut eye last night. I’m blaming Brian’s genes for this one, he’s a total sleep talker & walker! (Remind me to tell you about the time “someone was in the closet” and I almost called 911, ha!) So, while they nap and Ellie has quiet time with a picnic lunch, I’m enjoying a mid afternoon blogging session!

We took these photos a few weeks ago before church. Our church time changed to later in the afternoon which means 1. We’re on time (!!) and 2. We no longer are cramming goldfish in our mouths as a quick lunch while we load everyone in the mini van on the way to church. ๐ We love making a good old fashioned sandwich for lunch and Ellie loves to be right there with us helping out.

Recently we tried out Oscar Mayer Selects Natural cold cuts and thus began our recent obsession for sandwiches! It’s good. We’ve been making sandwiches every day for a few weeks straight. Even our picky, non-meat eater Ellie loves it (and that’s huge!) They’re made with no artifical ingredients, minimally processed, and are available in five flavorful varieties. I feel like we’re always trying out new deli meat brands, but now I’ve finally found a high quality one that I’m sold on!

Not pictured: Ellie filmed this whole lunch making session. We recently got an action cam (like a gopro, but less $$ ๐ and she’s obsessed. Our whole lives are going to be documented now. As if they weren’t already. ๐ Also not pictured: sweet Addie girl, who was peacefully napping.

Ellie’s deconstructed sandwich. I swear, if I make anything into a “smile face”, she’ll eat everything on her plate!

Ellie totally took the photo above. She’s getting good!

Side note: my sister in law is from Norway and always makes sure we’re stocked up on this Norwegian mustard. It’s Brian’s absolute favorite! I’m the weird one and prefer my sandwiches pretty plain. No sauces, no mayo, nada. But veggies? Load them up! ๐

I can't believe Miss Ellie is eating meat!!! Wow, that's a first!! It must be good!!
In the morning or during the day is the best time for me to blog. But I have the best inspiration in the morning ๐
