We’ve been counting down the “sleeps” until Christmas over here and we’re awfully excited about it! The holiday baking has begun, our favorite Christmas has been blasting on repeat, and the snow has been coming down! We may even have a white Christmas, and for one that doesn’t always love the snow, I’m finding myself extra excited about it! This week our to do list is short and it has been quite nice to enjoy some time sipping hot chocolate, watching Ellie play in the snow, and read lots and lots of Christmas books. I’ve said it a million times, the holidays are so magical with kids! Below are a few photos from the last few days. And if we’re not back here before Friday, Merry Christmas from the Zurcher family!! XOXO

Heart melted. Seriously love these two girlies and their matching pajamas!

The stockings were hung by the staircase with care. I hung that tiny stocking up last year right after we found out we were pregnant with Addie. I was so sick (pregnancy + flu!) but every time I looked at that plaid little stocking, I couldn’t help but smile. I was so giddy!

Miss Ellie. She wears this outfit at least twice a week…with high heels that are three inches too big and Brian’s old sunglasses! She gets lots of compliments at Target. π

I’ve been drooling over this Little People nativity since before we had kids, and I finally purchased it this year. Best. Purchase. Ever. We play with it every single day and Ellie adores hearing the story of Baby Jesus.

Her first sip of hot chocolate. During Addie’s morning nap, Ellie bundles up in her puffy snow suit and plays in the front yard snow while I watch from the window (wimp!) Hot chocolate is a must after!

Photo courtesy of Ellie on Sunday morning. She got to sing with the big kids during the Christmas program at church and my heart just about melted. Cutest thing ever.

Ellie had a Polar Express Party at preschool and came home positively glowing! She wore her conductor hat all day long.

She also lined up all our dining room chairs (and high chair!) so we could play train. We took turns playing conductor and playing her train whistle. Total flashbacks to my childhood!

Quick picture before a snowy church day.

She could have cared less that her shoes got all wet because SNOW! π Also, we had to totally compromise Sunday morning. She could wear her pink and teal butterfly shirt if she wore a sweater over it. Tights obviously didn’t make it into our agreement. Ha!

My little sleeping beauty. Love when I get a good picture of her cute little birthmark on her eye. It’s starting to fade and I’m so bummed!

Cutest sign from Evie Ivy. I think I’ll keep it up all year!

My favorite print (and most popular Christmas print in the shop!)

She asks to wear that snow suit every day. Also, I checked the tag..it’s size 18 months and totally fits. Ha!

The remnants of an afternoon in the snow.

My happy Addie girl! Her favorite spot in the house (besides in my arms) is the high chair. She’s happy as a clam sitting in the sunshine!

After we took a few smiley photos, Ellie yelled out “CRAZY!”

Ellie made this darling little ornament with me at Young Women’s last week. Another favorite to add to the tree!

And my two happy girls. Merry Christmas, friends!
Merry Christmas! I hope it's the best one yet for your family!
Merry Christmas Zurcher Family! Such cute girls!
So excited for Christmas for your sweet family! Nothing better than the joy and excitement from littles at Christmas. We love you all so much and can't wait to squeeze those little girls with lots of love next week. xoxoxoxoxo
So sweet. I love these photos, that cup of cocoa is bigger than she is!! π We haven't had any snow yet, but we might get some Sunday. I hope so! π Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! π XO -Alexandra

I love these sweet little girls! Good negotiating on your part! I'm figuring out more and more every day that it's much better to negotiate with my spirited child than try to force her into things she doesn't want. It will just make lots of good memories down the road!
