We’re always teasing my dad for taking us on “easy” hikes that turn into much more than we bargained for. A hike that was supposed to take thirty minutes turn into hours of venturing through the woods. They’re always beautiful and fun, just not what we expected. Brian and I unknowingly pulled the same trick on my family when they were visiting last week. “It’s barely a mile round trip!” we told them. “Of course you can hike in sandals!” We were eating our words 3 miles later…And my dad wasn’t even there to witness it! Ha! 😉 We hiked Stewart Falls, just parked at a totally different spot and hiked a different trail…oh and took a few wrong turns. 😉 While it wasn’t the hike we were expecting, it was positively gorgeous with the perfect hint of fall. Give me all the colored leaves! We cooled off in the water (and some of us in the waterfall!) and trekked back to the car where we all downed bottles of water. I’d call this hike a success! (And next time, we’ll recommended tennis shoes!)
Love this! It seems like all hikes claim to be shorter than they really are…I wonder why that is.
Love that hike! I can't believe how colorful it is already!
Your family is so cute! What a gorgeous waterfall too!
You guys are too cute!
