Ellie and I love baking cookies to share with the neighbors and I’ve been trying to come up with a cuter way to deliver them. Paper Christmas plates just don’t seem to be the right route 😉 I designed these little envelopes and they’re perfect for holding cookies! You can fit two or three cookies in there and let’s face it, they’re so much cuter than a paper plate with half attached plastic wrap. 😉 To make your envelope, download the printable here and follow the instructions below!
1. Print out the envelope template on your choice of paper. I printed mine on kraft paper. You don’t want the paper to be too thick otherwise it won’t fold as well. Next, cut a piece of wax paper down to the same size as your paper. Glue onto the back. (This makes it so the cookies don’t get the paper all greasy!)
2. Cut out your template around the edges. That’s a simple step. 🙂
3. Next, write on the envelope (so you’re not trying to write over lumpy cookies!) Then fold along the dotted lines and glue down. I started with the longer sides first, then the bottom. Leave the top open so you can….
4. Fill with cookies!
5. Glue the top flap down and deliver your freshly baked cookies to a lucky friend!
Oh I love these! I know exactly what you mean about the paper plate half covered with plastic wrap. Definitely not the presentation I was envisioning for my cookie delivery! This is much better.
These are adorable! Can't wait to try it!
