Happy November! I love the month of November. I spend the first week devouring Halloween candy (thanks, Ellie!), celebrate my birthday over the weekend with ten pounds of chocolate cake, and finish the month off strong with a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Every single year. And of course, there’s always baking in between. It’s the month of food! Today I’m so excited to share with you my new favorite holiday dessert.
The first day I met Brian, he told me about these amazing, miraculous, mouthwatering OREO cookie balls. The first day! He’s waited patiently for three years and I finally made them. Really, this is the first time I didn’t eat an entire sleeve in five minutes. I resisted the temptation! And it was well worth it, they’re just as mouthwatering and delicious as he says. Not to mention, they’re super easy and perfect for your next holiday celebration!
- 1 pkg (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened
- 36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
- 4 pkg. (4 oz. each) semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
Instructions:
- MIX cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
- SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
- CUSTOMIZE with sprinkles, candy corn, or drizzled chocolate.
- REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm.
For a festive, fancy look, I added these amazing gold sprinkles. I’m still finding remnants on my floor but they added the perfect amount of glam and glitter (and they’re perfectly edible too!)
Ellie was absolutely thrilled when I let gave her a little turkey! For a festive and kid approved look, dip your OREO cookie balls in white chocolate and let set. Then add candy corn feathers and the tip of a candy corn for a beak. I used a decorating squeeze bottle with chocolate to dot on eyes. Refrigerate for an hour. For another kid friendly idea, use food coloring to dye your white chocolate orange. Dip your OREO cookie balls in the chocolate and while it sets, take a small tip of a pretzel, dip in chocolate, and roll in green sprinkles for a pumpkin stem.
As an added surprise, I used regular, vanilla, and peanut butter OREOS. Delicious! I loved trying out different combinations of cookies with chocolate, and Ellie loved licking her chocolate-y fingers. If found all my baking supplies at Walmart.
And for an extra holiday twist, I filled my squeeze bottles with melted chocolate and squeezed on a simple “Give Thanks.” This recipe makes a TON of treats, perfect for your next party, event, or neighborhood treat. I’m definitely adding these to my list of favorite holiday treats! For more recipes and all things OREO, check out our hub.

These really are the most delicious and ADDICTING treat! I am so sad I can't have cream cheese this holdiay season because my baby gets upset when I have milk/cream 🙁 I never thought of using peanut butter oreos, sounds amazing! Do you still use cream cheese with the peanut butter ones?
these treats are like crack (I'm assuming.) They never last more than a day in our house!
I looooove these, sooooo good. Your pics are making me drool!
These look SO delicious and I love that you used a few different flavors. I'll bet your husband was just beaming with pride at his wife who finally made this elusive Pegacorn treat. I love your glam, fun, and festive decorations too! #client
