After posting this recipe, I had a few of you ask about my favorite homemade pasta recipe. Well, here it is! It’s easy peasy, especially if you have the supplies already on hand. If you had told me when I was first married that I would be making a homemade sauce every time we ate pasta, I would have laughed. Me? Yeah, right! I wasn’t a very experienced cook when we were first married, but I’m slowly improving! This is my favorite pasta sauce that I make all the time. It’s been adapted and changed over the last two years or so, and I’ve gotten to the point where I pull out the ingredients and dump them in. So simple!
INGREDIENTS:
Olive oil
Minced fresh garlic ( I usually use about 1-2 cloves)
(1) 16 oz can diced tomatoes
(2) 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
1 Tbs Sugar (to taste)
Italian seasoning
Baking soda (just a pinch!)
Heat olive oil on stove, then add minced garlic. Cook until garlic starts smelling delicious! (Skip this step if you don’t have fresh garlic and simply add garlic salt or powder to the mix later.) Add tomatoes, sauce, and a tiny spoonful of sugar. Then add Italian seasoning (I usually just shake a few shakes and call it good!) and a bit of baking soda. The baking soda will help neutralize the acid. Combine and bring to a simmer. Let sauce simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes, or until you eat. Serve over your favorite pasta (we love whole wheat angel hair!)
I love your aqua plated. Where are they from?

Yum Yum! My mouth is watering and it actually does look easy! Maybe I will get away from my "go to Prego sauce" and try something new! Thank you!
