Happy Monday!
We had a long week of fighting jet lag, whew! Turns out I’m pretty productive when I get up at 5am every day! (And I go to bed pretty early too 🙂 I been wanting to share a few photos from our trip to Norway & Sweden. I fell in LOVE with the culture, the food, the landscape, and I’ve been missing it this week! It may have been the reason we ventured into Ikea twice. Ha! 😉
We were lucky to stay with our Norwegian family while we were there. Brian’s brother, his wife, and their family currently live in Norway (but we’re begging for them to come back to Utah!) We had an absolute BLAST. They were our perfect tour guides, hosts, personal chefs, you name it. Ellie loved playing with her cousins, especially when they took her out to climb the rocks or find puddles.
The week we went just happened to fall on Easter (which was fantastic, the kids had the whole week off from school!) I snapped a few (hundred) photos, so here’s the extremely narrowed down version:
^^ Easter family photo taken by 10 year old Christian. Photographer in the making! ^^
^^ Our Easter feast! Complete with lamb, the most amazing desserts I’ve ever tasted, and brussel sprouts! Yes, mom, I ate brussel sprouts! ^^
^^ Flowers for baby Jacob ^^
^^ A quick visit to remember Baby Jacob ^^
^^ Two silly boys ^^
^^ Balloons in the city ^^
^^ The docks in Kristiansand. Church is an hour away, so each Sunday we made the drive into the city. ^^
^^ A little Easter egg hunt. Ellie loved finding all the “balls” ^^
^^ And my girl on her favorite rock! The rock was right off the back porch, so she could easily explore with her cousins while we would sit on the porch and chat. We lucked out and enjoyed sunny weather in the 60’s – pretty rare for Norway 😉 ^^
I have a lot more photos coming your way, as well as a few travel tips we picked up on our 22 hour travel days. HAPPY MONDAY!
