We snuck in yet another St. George trip this last week. (Can there really be too many trips to St. George? Nay!) Brian had to stay behind to work (that hard working man!) so Ellie and I had ourselves a little two day girls vacation! By some divine miracle, she slept most of the way there and back. Yes, my child who hates to take naps! Miracles of all miracles. Ellie’s Great Gramma Cindy was in town and we were so lucky to catch her before she heads off to Hawaii (lucky duck!)
Ellie is always spoiled with attention whenever we visit family. The stranger anxiety is now starting to wear off, she’ll play with anyone that will take her to see the dogs or throw her a ball. Pretty sure she hardly noticed I was there!
The trampoline is easily her favorite. She giggles and giggles and occasionally tries to stick her limbs through the sides.
Gramma got lucky and had a cuddly Miss E for two naps! She cuddled I tell you! Yet another miracle. She sure is lucky to have such an amazing gram!
Four generations! We celebrated Great Gramma Cindy’s birthday at…you guessed it, Café Rio. We have successfully created four generations of professional people watchers. 😉
I was greeted with a bouquet of flowers and a note from my dear ol’ pops! Isn’t he sweet? (Have I ever told you about the boxes I have stored in our basement full of old notes and cards? Pretty sure I have saved almost every single birthday card, thank you note, notes passed in class, you name it! Oh yes, I cannot bring myself to throw them away. I have notes from my dad before I was in kindergarten! And notes from Brian when we were dating, and middle school notes, yup, I’m a hoarder.)
While Ellie loves to watch dogs, she sure is nervous getting close to them. She clung tight to gramma and zac before she warmed up a little. And of course, chatting with our neighbor Jean. We don’t have many photos of her, she’s not one for photos, but boy do we love her. She’s our honorary gramma!
Our trip was short and sweet, but oh so good for the soul! Until next time, St. George!
