At five months Ellie:
-now weighs 13 lbs and 24 inches long. She’s a petite little thing! I finally put away all of her 0-3 month clothes, she’s completely in 3-6 months clothes now.
-rolls like crazy! I have to be careful when I put her on the floor because she can move all over the place!
-has quite the little personality emerging. For the most part she is a pretty happy baby. She loves to laugh! Although, when she gets frustrated or mad she will clench her fists and grunt/growl/scream. It’s funny and frightening all at the same time.
-is super independent and doesn’t want to be held or cuddled anymore (boo!) She loves to be standing and moving, and don’t you dare try to make her sit, she won’t have it!
-loves to be on her tummy. She can now get up on her hands and lift her upper body completely off the ground. As soon as she figures out how to get up on those legs, we’re in trouble! (We have a lot to baby proof!)
-gets a little worried around strangers. Sometimes she will be just fine around, but other times she will cry and cry and search frantically for mom.
-loves taking walks! We try to take one or two a day right before nap time, as long as it’s not totally and completely snowing or raining. Sometimes we look like marshmallows, we’re so bundled up! As soon as we step outside, her mood instantly changes (even if she was screaming her head off a minute before). She’ll sit up and look around for awhile, then slowly drift off to sleep for a good long nap.
-has us completely smitten. 🙂 Love being a mama to this sweet little one!
