Yeah, yeah, everyone else blogged about their Christmas décor/trees/everything like, 19 days ago. I’m slacking, I know. For the record, I have had decorations up since before Thanksgiving. (I’m always a little eager when it comes to Christmas decorations!) We finally got our tree last week (or the week before? I don’t remember!) Me and E call him Charlie. I don’t think B knows that we named him. He’s a good ol’ tree, that Charlie.
Our first attempt to find the perfect tree began at one of those cute tree lots on the side of the road. I should know by now that anything deemed cute is bound to be expensive. I insisted on a few pictures, then we high tailed it out of there! The second tree buying attempt was right after E got her 2 month shots and had a major fever. Poor girl, she was fussy! We stayed home and cuddled while Mr. Z was sent out to the land of Christmas trees (aka Lowes). And that’s when B picked out our (much cheaper than the last place) tree. Good work hubs. E was a huge fan of the lights, I don’t think she fussed once while we decorated! I couldn’t resist throwing together just a little Z Family tree decorating video:
Our tree is nothing fancy, no theme, no matchy-matchy ornaments, just a bunch of mismatched, dollar store/target/thrift store ornaments – just the way we like it! (and how cute is that owl ornament? good work, target, good work.) There you go my friends, our home is now Christmasfied. Here’s to a week of wrapping presents, fancy dinners, and baking enough treats to fill my entire kitchen counter! 🙂
P.S. Show my your Christmas decorations! tag #heandichristmas on instagram and I’ll feature some of your photos here on the blog!
