Over the Thanksgiving weekend we got crafty! My mom came up with the cute handprint tree idea, so after buying a large canvas (black friday sale, yippee!), digging out the paints and a few paintbrushes, we got to work. No one even complained as I painted their hands! (Ok, ok, some had a few comments, but they all obliged 🙂 Brian came up with the idea to make Ellie’s feet the tree trunk and it melts my heart every time I see them! Ellie’s handprints were the hardest, man that girl likes to clench her fists! Needless to say, she wasn’t very cooperative, and her handprint was a little smudgy, but we were laughing so hard we didn’t care. And from that day on, Ellie became a crafter. 🙂
I remember trying to get my son's hand print on a t-shirt for father's day…..It was NOT EASY! Cute little feet though! 🙂
That is such a cute idea! You guys are so crafty 🙂
this is SUCH a cute idea! i am totally stealing. those precious little feet……oh my goodness.
That is adorable!! Your daughter is absolutely beautiful!!
So cute! Ellie is precious!
Love it!
PS- I'm stealing this when we have a little one one day…
So you forgot to mention two things. One, this is the ONLY thing I wanted for Christmas (and yippee, I got it, and early!!!). And two, the reason why I wanted a handprint from everyone in the family is so next Christmas I will have EVERYONE with me (even though one certain son will be on his mission!!). It melts my heart every time I see it. It is a treasure I will keep forever. And hey, there are a couple empty spots that a few handprints can always fill over the years!! Love you so much Lex! Thanks for heading up this project of family love and most certainly laughter!!! xoxoxoxooxox mama
