Here’s just a few of my favorite things that kept us happy and sane over here for the first month!
(and can you believe my baby is almost a month old?! a whole month!!)
1: Skip Hop Pewter Dot Diaper Bag. I love this bag! It’s big (but not too big) and I can fit everything I need in one place. It has a lot of pockets (13 to be exact) so I can keep everything organized! Besides lugging around the baby stuff (diapers, wipes, extra outfit, blanket, etc), I can also fit my wallet, snacks, a water bottle, and even my camera in it. It’s perfect!
2: Bright Starts Bouncer. This thing has saved our lives! Not only does it bounce, but it vibrates and plays music. Ellie actually prefers to sleep in this over her bassinet. If she gets fussy, all we have to do is lean over, bounce it a few times, and she’s back to sleep. It’s lightweight and goes everywhere with me around the house!
3: Baby Gap Favorite Cuffed Pants. I didn’t think I would need any preemie clothing, let alone newborn clothes for this little one. I was so wrong. Since E is so dang skinny, I had to special order these pants for her. They are for babies under seven pounds and fit like a charm. Not only that, they’re incredibly soft, I want some for myself! She seriously wears them every day since nothing else fits! (and can I express my love for baby gap? ahh, I love that store. I would live in that store. and gosh darn it, I can’t resist their sales!)
4: Aden and Anais Swaddle Blankets. We use these every single day. They’re so nice for swaddling up E while she sleeps or for covering up while we nurse. A must have for sure, I can’t stress it enough!
5: Chicco Travel System. We loooove our car seat and stroller. The car seat is super light weight and easy to carry around. The stroller is super easy to fold up! We use the stroller often for walks around the park (or the mall :). E loves to be outside, so on fussy days, the stroller has been a lifesaver! She calms right down as soon as we start walking. The fabric on both the stroller and car seat is a small chevron pattern and who doesn’t love chevron!?
Other favorites: Boppy Pillow for nursing, Johnson and Johnson baby lotion, hand sanitizer for every room in the house, Destin for diaper rash, and Soothie pacifiers (the ones from the hospital. they’re ugly but they work like a charm!)

Love all of your must-haves! Although I'm not sure she used the bouncer too much while you were here for the weekend. Pretty sure we spoiled her by holding her 24/7!! Sorry if you're not getting a thing done this week because of it!! 🙂 Love you!

AMEN about the Aden and Anais swaddles! They are so fantastic.

Oh how I wish there were such a thing as blogging and blog friends when your mom and I were new mothers. Our lives were much more isolating then! I love to hear you share.

There's binkies called gum drops, they are just like the hospitalized only cuter, and they have a cute out for the nose. Maybe look them up 🙂
