We were so lucky to have my mama come stay with us after Ellie was born. She was a life saver! We were completely pampered all week long. She made us breakfast, lunch, dinner, salads, and dessert, vacuumed the house, swept the floors, washed the dishes, scrubbed the bathroom till it sparkled, made our beds, cuddles with little E, took out the trash, watched endless hours of Gilmore Girls and Everybody Loves Raymond, hit up some awesome sales, let me nap every day, calmed the crying, hiccupping babe, calmed the crying crazy postpartum lady, *babysat while we went on a date, and so much more! I don’t think I could have handled that first week without her. To say we were sad when she left is a major understatement. (I’ve already got a trip planned to St. George! 🙂 So lucky to have such an amazing, talented, wonderful mom and gramma! I love you mom!
*Apparently we’re pathetic and old, our date lasted forty minutes. It consisted of going to Costco for gelato (heavenly), then to Target to pick up some soap and such. We were home before nine and drop dead tired! What the heck!? E didn’t even make a peep while we were gone. Don’t worry mom, we’ll make it longer next time. 😉
Loved every minute of my visit!! Thanks to you and B for having me. It was one of the best weeks ever. Ellie is a doll and being with your little family for the week was heavenly!! Love you all so much and can't wait for our next visit. xoxoxoxo mama

You look SO much like your mama!! I can't wait for my mom to come stay with my with my little one comes in January!
What an amazing Mom you have! I can't wait to come meet Ellie. And for her and Violet to become pals. So fun. We will stay away for a little bit though, seems like we caught some sort of cold over the weekend. In St. George, where it was blazing hot. Of course.
And those first few dates will be pretty pathetic 🙂 It is just part of the territory.
Your mom is so cute with her! Aren't grammas the best? I'm with you, I think I wouldn't survive without my momma here right now.
Seriously, moms are the best. My mom came and stayed with us after I had my little girl and I felt like I could breathe again for a minute. Moms just make everything ok, especially when you're going through such a big change. p.s. Ellie is SO sweet! I really miss that newborn stage.
I love reading about all your firsts! My daughter just turned one and it is so great reading what you are going through and remembering when she was that little. I really love it!
You have a Great Mom!! 🙂
